Boom Festival 2008 in Idanha-a-Nova, Portugal, offered four days of great weather and fantastic sound. During my trip, I also took the opportunity to visit Monsanto and Lisbon.
Monsanto, often called "the most Portuguese village in Portugal," is perched on a mountain and features charming stone houses nestled among massive boulders. The village offers breathtaking views and a glimpse into the country's rural heritage with its narrow cobblestone streets and timeless atmosphere.
Lisbon, the vibrant capital city, is a blend of tradition and modernity. It boasts historic neighborhoods, iconic trams, and a lively atmosphere. Whether exploring landmarks like the Belém Tower and Jerónimos Monastery or experiencing the local cuisine and nightlife, Lisbon is a city that truly captivates with its rich history and warm, hospitable vibe.
