We led the incremental search redesign for Digitec Galaxus, Switzerland’s largest e-commerce platform. The new Digitec Galaxus search feature now delivers smarter, faster results and introduces real user data search suggestions, surfacing the most popular search terms for Digitec Galaxus shoppers. This e-commerce search UX improvement helps users find products more efficiently, enhancing overall customer satisfaction.
Our solution used a micro frontend built with Preact and Apollo GraphQL, enabling seamless React search component integration. The hybrid architecture (React legacy HTML) ensures the upgraded search can be embedded into both the modern React-based storefront and the legacy HTML site—with smooth Swiss e-commerce search integration across all interfaces. This approach supports a legacy HTML site search upgrade without disrupting existing workflows, making it a standout example of search feature optimization in Switzerland’s competitive online retail market.
