After building numerous widgets and microsites on the Gaia Framework, I grew frustrated with large file sizes and unreliable font sharing. When a client asked me to deliver a fully configurable widget, I seized the opportunity to build a leaner, more flexible framework from scratch.
The result is a lightweight, XML-driven widget that’s fully configurable by end users. Every visual and behavioral option can be set in XML, and users can create their own custom versions through a simple “remix” process. That remix workflow lets people tweak the look and feel—colors, fonts, layout—and instantly preview their changes.
