Thailand 2008 - Snorkeling in Koh Tao

My friend Falk and I took a quick 10-day round trip from Bangkok to Koh Tao and Koh Samui. The journey began with heavy rain that put a damper on snorkeling plans, but it was still an adventure — city streets, ferry crossings, and the thrill of island hopping kept things exciting.

As the weather cleared, snorkeling conditions improved and we made the most of crystal-blue waters and vibrant marine life. Renting scooters turned out to be the highlight: cruising winding coastal roads, stopping at secluded viewpoints, and discovering hidden beaches felt wonderfully spontaneous. Everywhere we went, the tropical scenery and delicious Thai food made the trip unforgettable — fresh seafood, street-side treats, and beachfront dinners were constant highlights.
